About the OGGF...

The Board of Directors and countless girls who have benefitted from OGGF's programs and scholarships owe thanks to the inspiration of co-founders Mary Ann Bierman and Ann Caja. Their dedication has honed this Foundation's vision, and they have been instrumental in the steady growth of girls' golf in Ohio. Since the OGGF's inception, the number of girls' golf teams has grown from 0 to nearly 250!

The group's hard-working committees continually explore new avenues of development, chief of which is the annual golf tournament for area high-school girls. The 2008 event will be held on July 20 & 21 at the Avon Oaks Country Club, and registration forms are available.

The OGGF sponsors instructional golf clinics, geared to inform, educate, and expand girls' knowledge of all aspects of golf. All girls, age 8 to 18, are eligible to participate in these Saturday clinics. The format includes instruction for every skill level from beginner to advanced, and examines all of the game. These sessions feature skilled PGA or LPGA instructors who work closely with the girls to provide the most effective learning environment.
